This school is a 9/10 at least! The new leadership of Principal Mincey is positively magical. She loooooves being a principal, enriching the students lives by supporting special programming and events even outside of the school, and actively/frequently engaging with the parents. The teachers go above and beyond, the school and the area around it are clean, safe, and beautiful. My son attended for two years (Pre-K and Kindergarten) before we moved away but I wish we could've taken the school with us! Ms. Billups, Mrs. Beazer, and Mrs. Bostic are absolute miracle teachers, and Melanie Haley is the best parent liaison any parent could dream of. Ignore the score of this school, it's such a special place and I am forever grateful my oldest son got to attend even for a short time.

Sutton is a fantastic place to be! Our principal is exceptional- creatively solving for ways to push our students towards their maximum potential. He encourages all students to be their best, rewards them for positive behavior as well as finds ways to uplift those who are struggling in school. He cares deeply and is incredibly passionate about his career. While the school is large, there is a way for everyone to get involved. Kids are able to participate in all types of activities starting in the 6th grade. I love that the 6th graders have their own campus as they adjust to middle school and learn how to become independant learners.

This is the largest and most diverse high school in Atlanta Public Schools. There is something for every student to get engaged, involved and ready for life beyond high school. This school has decisive school leaders, strong and very supportive teachers and coaches and true leadership opportunities for students. There are multiple state recognized or state ranked groups and sports teams. The acceptance rates to UGA and Georgia Tech out of North Atlanta are impressive and unmatched by any private school in Buckhead.
