N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can't say enough about this school. My son hated going to school before we moved here. He was constantly fidgeting, getting distracted and though he was doing all of his work, he was getting in trouble all the time. From the day he started at OCPS, that all stopped! He was able to understand the teacher, sit still, pay attention and was able to learn, grow and make friends. I think OCPS really takes time to figure out what environment will be best for each student by weighing experience, personality and teaching style. I am amazed and so incredibly happy with OCPS.Parent Review5y ago - Malcom Bridge Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm an 8th grader here currently. The teachers are mostly nice, a few bad apples though. The main problem at this school is the bullying. Kids who aren't wealthy, athletic, or straight are relentlessly bullied by most popular kids, and the administration does nothing to help. Work is piled onto students relentlessly, Students are treated more as cogs in a machine than people, and empathy is severely lacking. so glad to be out of here next year.Student Review1y ago - North Oconee High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei’ve grew up in oconee county schools my entire life. and if you’re thinking of sending your kid here and they’re somewhat different then the average high schooler; don’t. the kids here are so horrible to the other students especially if you’re different, and it’s because all of them were raised to think they are the greatest of all time. some of the students are genuinely so kind and so caring but majority will do everything in their power to make you feel like you are less then them. just saying, this school is NOT the place for students who are “different “. And the teachers are okay, i have had a few teachers in my academic career at NOHS and they’re great. but most of them are so unfair. they pick favorites and they treat you like you are nothing because they have authority over you. they don’t care ab you’re actual well being unless it benefits them. the counselors are all super kind tho so i have to give NOHS that, because they rlly do care about everyone and want everyone to pass. however, the administration also picks sides and especially if you are a popular student who can lie. i really am just rambling at this point, but i’m so serious. DO NOT send your kids here if they look “different “ then a average high schooler!Student Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 1050 Tangle Dr.

"Barber street is usually covered in plastic cups from Greek rich kids parties. They also think it’s fine to just congregate in the streets and park like Barber is their driveway. But I do love boulevard and surrounding area. Have lived in this area for 17 years. I hear the school district is great. And being able to walk to downtown is fantastic."

"More and more people are living here but the roads are staying the same size since the past 30 years. Traffic can be horrible going to work in the morning, and getting off work, from 4pm to 6pm, forget going anywhere. Depending what part of Athens you’re in, will effect your view on Athens. There’s a poor lifestyle and there’s a wealthy lifestyle to this town. Slowly Athens is updating its lifestyle to fit wealthy families. It sure is a college town, and traffic is much better once the college students are out of town. I’ve lived here my whole life so I know where to go and where not to go. I’ve seen girls/college girls out walking in places they shouldn’t have been walking (out of town ppl don’t know any better) but they think since it’s a college town it’s ok, and that’s where they’re wrong. Overall nice town but way too crowded. "

"Our current neighborhood isn’t that great. There’s not a lot of courtesy that gets displayed between residents, it’s in a sketchy part of town, and there have been a few crimes that have occurred here in a short amount of time. Would not recommend raising your children here. Also the public schools are terrible."
