From the very beginning, we felt welcomed into this amazing community. One of the standout aspects of St. Clement's is undoubtedly its incredible community. The sense of togetherness and support within this school is second to none. From the faculty and staff to the parents and fellow students, it truly feels like a family. Being new to Chicago as well as the school, this welcoming atmosphere made the transition into this school seamless for my children, and it has fostered a sense of belonging that is invaluable to their educational journey. One recent highlight that we absolutely love about St. Clement's is the addition of new academic clubs. These clubs provide students with a wide variety of opportunities to explore their passions and interests. These clubs have allowed my 7th grader to further develop his entrepreneurial skills and knowledge beyond the regular curriculum. Not only are these clubs educational, but they also serve as platforms for students to socialize and collaborate with their peers who share similar interests. Another noteworthy aspect of St. Clement's is the great class sizes. With an ideal teacher-to-student ratio, every child receives the individualized attention they need to thrive academically. This personalized approach ensures that no student gets left behind and that each child's unique strengths and weaknesses are addressed effectively. The teachers at St. Clement's truly go above and beyond to ensure that every student is given the support they need to succeed. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Madison from 2019-2022. The level of emotional incompetence from the students, teachers, and admin at this school is on another level. South Tampa elitism outshines anything good I could say about this school and if you have a child who is talented/smart/filled with potential please do not send them here. The STEM program is honestly weakly hidden class segregation and the insensitivity of the kids in STEM should be studied.. What should also be studied is the way the administration and teachers encourage STEM students to put themselves on a pedestal and consistently express their superiority over the “traditional” students- often referred to by teachers/admin as “genpop”, “troubled”, etc. despite being capable children that have been given up on and have zero support system. Despite South Of Gandy hardly being the land of prosperity, parents and consequently children who go to Madison truly believe they were sent by God to improve the world with their presence. If your child is someone with emotional depth they will feel out of place, ostracized, and dissociated from their peers who clearly don’t have parents that actually speak to them and encourage them to have hobbies/interests beyond vaping, gossiping, and bullying those deemed weird. Talking to the vast majority of students there is the equivalent of talking to a badly trained AI. The arts education is lacking severely and extremely underfunded and undervalued, the teachers are clearly stressed, social emotional learning is basically mocked, and the guidance counselors top it all off as a place where motivated and talented minds go to die. "Sidewalks skip some sections of road or move into peoples property’s or driveways, it’s not a very pedestrian accessible area. I’ve walked my dog a few times but often had to walk on the road or cross the street to stay on sidewalks. I ended up just fencing in my yard so he can get exercise that way since walking is such an ordeal. Fenced yard is a must for dog owners here."
