1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJust is a great school! The teachers truly care about the kids and want them to succeed. They have really great STEM teacher, an awesome STEM program and do a lot of amazing STEM activities. The administration and support staff is very kind, helpful and supportive of the families and children that attend there.Parent Review1y ago - Madison Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Madison from 2019-2022. The level of emotional incompetence from the students, teachers, and admin at this school is on another level. South Tampa elitism outshines anything good I could say about this school and if you have a child who is talented/smart/filled with potential please do not send them here. The STEM program is honestly weakly hidden class segregation and the insensitivity of the kids in STEM should be studied.. What should also be studied is the way the administration and teachers encourage STEM students to put themselves on a pedestal and consistently express their superiority over the “traditional” students- often referred to by teachers/admin as “genpop”, “troubled”, etc. despite being capable children that have been given up on and have zero support system. Despite South Of Gandy hardly being the land of prosperity, parents and consequently children who go to Madison truly believe they were sent by God to improve the world with their presence. If your child is someone with emotional depth they will feel out of place, ostracized, and dissociated from their peers who clearly don’t have parents that actually speak to them and encourage them to have hobbies/interests beyond vaping, gossiping, and bullying those deemed weird. Talking to the vast majority of students there is the equivalent of talking to a badly trained AI. The arts education is lacking severely and extremely underfunded and undervalued, the teachers are clearly stressed, social emotional learning is basically mocked, and the guidance counselors top it all off as a place where motivated and talented minds go to die. Send your gifted child to a school where they will succeed and prosper, NOT Madison.Other Review4mo ago - Blake High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIF YOUR CHILD WANTS TO ATTEND A UNIVERSITY NOT JUCO- get them out of the AICE program at Blake. This program is tailored to get them Brigth Futures for JUCO without getting them ready for ACT/SAT testing. My girl was enrolled in this program in Miami Dade, we drank the Kiol-aid. Yaay Bright futures!!. She passed all the classes with As and passed all test. But she was not ready for SAT/ACT. The program actually tells the kids that's not important and instils fear in them that they might not pass ACT/SAT. Well her dreams of a good university were shatered. She ended up in JUCO. Which was not bad, but if we had known she would have been taking APs and Dual enrollment that are more challenging and prepare them for college.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 290 S Meridian Ave #1.

"You can walk to restaurants, Publix, the trolley, bars etc. the trolley will take you to ybor and to downtown with stops along the way. If I worked in downtown my life would be great, it’s a short walk to downtown and there are scooters and bus stops everywhere "

"It is a unique neighborhood because of being right next to downtown Tampa and next to the Port of Tampa. Where else can you take a look out your window on a Sunday morning and see a cruise ship coming into dock?"
