4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRickards is the nastiest place I have ever been. They don't teach you much of anything and the teachers will let the kids do mainly what they want, there's probably a fight every day, and the school has 1400 kids inside of it with like 10 admin which barely give you suspension for the fights and I don't know how many times I heard of guns getting pulled out.Parent Review1y ago - Fairview Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm part of the magnet program and I can certainly say that the teachers for IB are amazing. I have noticed that the non-IB side has had a lot of issues though. From my experience, a lot of swears get thrown around and even though the school has a no swear policy, none of the students get in trouble. There is definitely a bias (from most of the staff). The teachers I have don't give too much homework (this could be because of COVID-19), and have pretty basic schedules.Parent Review2y ago - J Michael Conley Elementary School At Southwood

What Locals Say about Chaires
- Anthony
- Resident

"The commute is decent depending on where you are going and the side of town you live on. The city is constantly growing so commutes will becoming shorter in the long run but with this being a college town probably mean more traffic and immature people being in the same place at the same time."

"Ive lived in our neighborhood 27 years and love the quality of life here and the Tallahassee "

"I live in a rural community. There is no bus that comes here. Taxis do travel out but they are stupid expensive for our area. You could bike or walk but highly do not recommend. We are on a canopy road which makes it really dangerous to do either. We don’t have sidewalks and there is no bike lane. Even though the speed is posted at 35, you hardly see anyone doing under 45. "

"I know many more neighbors here than my last home. Very quiet, peaceful, and untravelled area. Kid friendly and kid safe."
- Runette A.

"I have lived in this area for 13 years. I love the peaceful environment and the beauty of the community layout. It's only a 15 minute or less drive to nearby stores. The layout of the lots are spacious and private yet close enough to visit across-the-way with your neighbors if you chose to. The zoned schools are rated among the best in Tallahassee."
