2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI got my arm broken, I got the bathroom stall opened on me, and i get bullied a lot. School said stuff like my arm getting broken wasn’t going to happen again. I still don’t get left alone. Everyone that goes here are rude for no reason. I hate this school so much.Student Review5mo ago - Deltona Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's been almost three years since I left so I can't tell you if this is completely accurate to the current school's staffing and curriculum, but in my opinion, there were honestly very few good teachers I had during my years there. I got called lazy to my face by a science teacher I had despite the fact I got 80+ on almost every test in that class because I had trouble remaining focused due to ADHD, though this was on my 504. In 10th grade I had a mental break from stress, I scratched the skin off my hand and was bleeding during a testing block, and not a single teacher or any additional staff noticed, though there were numerous in the room. Please do better for your neuro-divergent and mentally ill students. The restrooms all routinely smelled like marijuana at least once per week, and some kids were pretty obviously high in class, while some teachers did deal with it, there were some who very clearly knew and did nothing. I can also recall a time in my first year when the weather was incredibly hot, and I believe there was an issue with the air conditioning, so the school gave out popsicles, but one was left to melt on the stairs and weeks had gone by with it not being cleaned up at all.My time there does predate Florida's House Bill 1557 (2022) as I left in 2021, but even in that period, a transgender classmate of mine was purposefully misnamed and had the wrong pronouns used almost every day by our Tech/Video Editing teacher at the time, despite being corrected by myself other classmates, including that person, every time.To end this on a positive note: two of my favorite teachers, whom I'm pretty sure both still work there, are Mrs. Ross for math and Mrs. Wright for reading, both of whom were incredibly kind to me despite my struggles with the material, and afforded many opportunities to me that I can't say I always deserved. Thank you both.Other Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 6438 Lost Tree Ln.
