2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the worst school in Pinellas county. After parents spend a lot of money in regular school clothes for the school year now they decided a the end of the school year to go back to uniform without caring the financial hardship they will cause to parents. There are not school clothes in any stores and I called the principal secretary and they do not care kids can not attend to school if they do not have uniform. Is amazing that our options do not count, but when they do fundraiser or they need money is the only our opinion counts. Should we support their fundraiser?Parent Review1y ago - Northeast High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter transferring to Northeast, I've really enjoyed it. I've recently graduated and come from a different school in the county. One of the bigger things you'll notice as a student is how much silent (and loud) racism and unprofessional things happen here. One of the teachers has been said to say the n-word multiple times, and pretty much harassed a student "attempting" to apologize about it. Another teacher, reveals his concealed carry card to students and tells them to "not try him." The school itself is pretty good, but you'll notice a lot more snarkiness, and silent drama. From what I've experienced there's a pretty good range of demographic at the school. It's not always one set group of students in the honors/AP/Dual enrollment classes and most of the teachers seem to try to help the students succeed if they want to. The school is pretty good compared to other ones, but most people don't realize that and take it for granted.Other Review10mo ago - John M. Sexton Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSexton has a new principal since last year. The previous principal retired. There are good and also bad changes put through this year. A bad change is that the students are no longer grouped by their academic abilities, they are all averaged out per class. This means that the gifted students are bored in their regular class and students that need more explanation are not getting it. I can see that it is much harder for the teacher to teach the students now, because each child is at a different level. The students should not be limited by their academic abilities.Parent Review10y ago - Check out schools near 530 44th Ave NE.

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
