2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo say I am disappointed in this school would be a gross understatement! My oldest has been in PBMH for three years, and in that time has had 3+ guidance counselors! The turnover in staff is alarming! The administration is completely inattentive and apathetic. Bullying is a huge problem - far more than "typical" bullying issues. It was so bad I chose to send my younger daughter to a different high school in the county - well worth the drive to keep her from the filth at PBMH. The "magnet" program is a complete joke. There is NO teaching going on at this school - just putting out "fires" (literal and metaphorical) and babysitting. I feel sorry for the handful of decent teachers who are struggling to work with the kids at this school. Do not send you child here!!Parent Review9y ago - Central Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are awesome. Most of the kids are great too. One year my son was there. Late in the year a couple of kids misbehaved. But overall. School is great. There’s lots of clubs that get kids involved. My son was in 3-4 of them. He loved it.Parent Review1y ago - Lockmar Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy eldest daughter was at a different school in Palm Bay. Repeatedly I went to her teacher & requested help. I didn't get anywhere. I then turned to the councilor. I was asked, if we were on free or reduced lunch. When I responded by saying no. I was told they would have to see what they could do for my daughter. I called back several times & got no where. I went up the ladder to the principal & every time was asked the same question. Every time I didn't receive help for my daughter educationally. It was extremely refreshing when I came to Lockmar. We came here and have never been asked if we were approved for free or reduced lunch. A students ability to receive services/accommodations should not be determined gaged by their families income level. My daughter has an amazing support system here at Lockmar. The teachers listen to what my daughter has to say. Over the past four years they have worked with us to teach her strategies to work through her learning challenges. If something didn't work then they have worked with us to brainstorm to find something that would work for my daughter. Our lives have been truly blessed by the teachers, staff & management at Lockmar Elementary. We will miss all the teachers when she moves on to middle school a year from now.Other Review7y ago - Check out schools near 520 Vermont St NE.
