4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has been a real lifesaver. We are informed about when things are happening at school. The teachers are extremely supportive as long as students are willing to do their part. We really appreciate the fact we have an JROTC program. We have meetings once a month that encourage parent involvement, all you have to do is show up and choose to participate. Students have mental health resources available. There are parent teacher conferences held quarterly so one can be aware of what’s going well and what areas one’s student needs help or just needs to step up one’s efforts. The workload is cumbersome when a student chooses to use their classroom time unwisely. Most teachers put their heart into teaching here at Edgewater ; it’s up to students to do their part. The school is proactive in its discipline policy. Most students comply due to this fact. Overall, the school is a winner in my eyes compared to where our family came from.Parent Review9mo ago - Lake Silver Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at LSE one horrible experience after another. My kid has gone through two principles at this school. LSE has lost several of the African Americans teacher because of the racist culture at LSE. This school was on the news for teachers ( white teachers) having inappropriate conversations about the black students. I have brought several issues to the table from staff at drop not acknowledging the students as they come on campus. To student calling other students racial slurs. Can go on and onSo grateful this will he our last yr dealing with this school and staff. Highly would NOT recommend!!!!Parent Review1y ago - College Park Middle School

"A wonderful place to live! Close to a lot but also feels private. Safe neighborhood to go for walks to the park or just around the block. Lots of local restaurants that are in walking distance as well. Traffic is not that bad either and usually can get most places conveniently."

"People love to walk their dogs and wave to you. I have not seen any issues with dog owners. Some lawns have signs to say pick up after your dog to encourage a clean lawn etc. A lot of stray and house cats outside too. Beware of coyotes at 3am type of hours. "

"Great neighborhood, safety is key and I don’t have to worry about it since I’ve moved here, my favorite part of it it’s that all my neighbors wave at me from far when we see each other on our drive ways. "

"Great dog community but not everyone is good at cleaning up after their dog. Plenty of sidewalk space and a great park nearby for them to play on or off leash. Depending on your dog’s behavior of course and how well you trust them"

"I walk my dog in this neighborhood at all hours and feel safe! There have been coyote spotted, though I haven’t seen any personally. Other dog walkers are friendly too, but don’t forget your bags to pick up after your dog or some neighbors will be very upset!"
