What Locals Say about Ocoee

  • Bbragg232
"The city has been putting in a lot of effort recently to upgrade the city. City Hall got a face lift and they have increased the amount of events, which is fun for families. They also added a disc golf course that is pretty decent right next to the plyground, something for everyone. The newest addition is the bike/skate park, which is fun for all ages. It is my three year olds favorite place in the world. "

"Unless you live in a neighborhood subdivision of kids with a large population of children, it’s a sad place to be for kids and sort of unsafe for kids to walk or play outside. It’s a decently sized town that is trying to clean up its act. The mall in town is terribly unsafe. This isn’t the type of town that kids can go out and explore by themselves "

"My neighborhood is very pretty. The commute seems to be very good. I do run into traffic near Gotha. But, that's only during high traffic times. Other than that I think it's beautiful. "

"“Ok” schools (which is as good as you’ll get in USA’s public education system anymore). Very safe neighborhood in today’s world to let your kids ride their bike in neighborhood because there is one entrance and one exit and not a TON of traffic on the road in front of our neighborhood. We’ve lived here for 15 yrs and, had we been able to, I think we absolutely would’ve enjoyed raising kids here & felt relatively safe (again, for today’s age) doing so. We still would’ve homeschooled, but that’s just us. "
