2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOk to start off with I understand that this school has it flaws but everyone and everything has a few flaws that they can improve or people can come together and help improve it , and that’s what gjams is doing . All the reviews you are seeing was made years ago before Covid and everything else and since thing alot of things have changed . Like now we have mr.Clark a terrific band teacher who I adore so much and then you have ms Gibson who I adore Also , I kcan keep going but I’m going come to the end of that discussion. Another thing is the scores the current 8th graders are beyond smart and capable to handle pretty much anything we brought the school scores up so high for the school so when we leave we’re leaving a legacy the same legacy your kids can be taught in , and we became this way from learning from nothing but the best teachers in the school I’m so upset because I have to switch to jfk middle but it’s going to be ok because I know the school will just do anything by any needs to improve itself and we have new principles who are investing their money im the school to improve the school system so much more.. but I will really miss that school and I just wish I could’ve got to finish 8th grade with the gjams family .Student Review1y ago - Miami Jackson Senior High School

"Honestly wouldnt advise living here . All you here is shooting and police sirens after a while you get used to it. Someone probably dies every other day. People break into cars, harass women walking down the street. Can’t go outside by yourself at night without the fear of getting robbed or killed. "

"Too many lose dogs running around. It's best to keep them in your yard. May not liking walking fog through neighborhood. "

"Honestly I wouldn’t advise moving here. You hear gunshots on a daily basis. It’s not safe to walk outside I’m even in the daytime and the people in the neighborhood make it no better. I myself don’t have kids yet but I know for a fact I won’t be raising them here. "

"Nice place to stay, getting even better, the nearby parks have received an upgraded the streets are a bit quieter I look forward to see how much more it will improve I’m very pleased about the amenities and services of this community which are far better then most, like bulk trash pickup is every single Monday so you clean as much as you want and pull things like oldfurniture and appliances out to be picked up without a problem or having to schedule twice a year pick up. and A street sweeper comes to clean the street once a month or so. I like it."

"It has it’s days there is regular Gunshots and crimes more then any other neighborhoods .Police are often on site due to problems. Stay indoors its safer that way. "

"There are strays that live in the area. There are no dog parks in this area at all. People who do have dogs in this area don’t take care of them. The dogs have a tendency to roam the streets and harass people or even chase kids."
