9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cannot say enough about Sunset Park Elementary. Both my children attended this school. My eldest is now in a Magnet High School taking all AP classes and my youngest is currently in Sunset Park's Gifted Program. The teachers are caring & excellent educators with years of experience. Administration is top notch & always available. The campus is located in a residential neighborhood with tons of green spaces. We're lucky to have had our kids attend Sunset Park Elementary.Parent Review1y ago - Glades Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child transferred in from a charter school system since kindergarten and ended up being in a MUCH better place both academically and socially all because of Asst Principal Mr. Siles and Counselor Ms. Garcia; she has experienced teachers in AP classes and is fully supported by the team here at Glades Middle School; have been most pleasantly surprised since all along I thought the charter school system was better - not compared to Glades Middle School in Miami, FL!Parent Review5y ago - Miami Killian Senior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated Killian High in 2000 and was very happy with the school and went straight to a four year college after graduation. (Florida International University then University of Miami). It has outstanding AP and Honors classes that really prepare you for college. There can be some bad elements in the school but for the most part if you enroll in the advanced classes and stay busy with extracurriculuar activitites you will succeed. If you enroll your teen in this school do NOT put them in the regular classes. AP and Honors classes all the way. Regular classes tend to be full of the underachievers and kids that barely speak english. The school is over 60% Hispanic. Keep your teen busy while at this school. There are a plethora of outstanding activities to keep them out of trouble. From what I hear they do not allow the students to leave campus during the day anymore. When I went to the school we were allowed to have lunch at Ron Ehmann park next door until a huge gang riot broke out one day circa 1998 that made the park off limits during school hours. Great school if you put your kid in the advanced programs.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 11268 SW 73rd Ter #11268.

"There are lots of people walking dogs or owning dogs in this area, as long as your dog is in a leash you’ll love. If your dog doesn’t like cats or chickens or kids this method is highly suggested "

"It’s quite small and centered between route 210, Waldorf, and National Harbor. Most living here are families with good jobs. Also it has become an area with steady growth in the surrounding commercial zoning locations due to the increase in residential property development. It’s a budding location with a lot of potential to offer its current and future residents."

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
