We removed our son out of this school. Most 5th grades teachers and the elementary principal left- replaced with poor teachers. Lack of teachers causes safety issues. The principal who continues has no clue how to run a school and is disrespectful to parents.

If you decide to move to this area to be in a good school zone try moving a couple feet over so you are not zoned for McNeal. There are so many choices here but McNeal shouldn't be one. Our child attended this school last year and we are so happy we found a different school moving forward. Some of the teachers were great however the primary teacher was horrible. Took of a lot of time for different reasons including vacations and we had substitutes all the time. Had some favorites in class and didn't hide it from the rest of the class. Very condescending and not approachable whatsoever. When trying to address issues you get shut down. Bullying is an issue however it gets overlooked and brushed off. After multiple attempts to resolve issues concerning bullying you get told that the Bully probably needs more attention and help then the bullied. The principal retired to the surprise of many but looking over the year and even school functions it is not a surprise. School functions were planned horrible, parents are not kept in the loop of what is going on. When changing classes walking to another classroom a kid actually went missing for at least 30 min. I could go on and on but given the fact there has not been a new review in 4 years I felt something should be said. A lot of kids were leaving this school to attend other schools in the surrounding area. This is a great area with many schools around where the parents and family of the students are involved and can celebrate their kids and show support. This school is not one of them, their biggest agenda is to have fundraisers and then they have no problem to welcome families with open arms. Highly disappointed.

We feel very lucky to have found this school. The teachers are top notch and the staff went out of their way to help us. Most importantly, my kids loved the school and excelled academically. The kids were thrilled with the many elective choices. Mine got involved with the TSA club and chorus and band. As a parent, I loved the email communications sent out to keep us in the loop and help support our kids.
