3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible School. The principal needs to get fired. They don't help you unless your on the wrong side of the law. They basically assist people in kidnapping your kids. I know because they did it to me. I contacted the school board and they helped me locate my sons school and when I spoke with them. No help!! Please fire the principal worst ever.Parent Review11y ago - Lake Gibson Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat school don't answer the phone and has a nurse that laughs in your face when you ask why she is refusing a student to come inside her clinic after the student is telling her that they can not stand up and is about to pass out! The nurse then responds she can't see any students that does not have a medical form filled out. I guess that means it's ok for a student to pass out and be neglected of medical service whether it was monitoring the student or contacting the parent. That's Nurse Misconduct.Parent Review6mo ago - Lake Gibson Senior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average(excuse my bad grammar, i speak more spanish) I am a Junior in this school right now. i moved here to polk county and had to transfer here without choice because this was the closest school near the house I moved to. I transferred in January and so far my experience with this school has been terrible. I’ve been living schools and cities my whole life. My freshman year i was in Eustis High School in Lake County and my sophomore i was at Lyman High School at Seminole County for one semester. This school has such strict dress code rules that the kids can’t express themselves with the look they are comfortable with. Being tardy sends you to their detention wasting your class time, instead of sitting in the detention room you could’ve been sent to class so you wouldn’t have to miss the whole lecture but they don’t allow that. When you are atleast one minute late they send you to get a pass which ends up being unexcused anyway so you also waste more class time instead of just walking to class. Here they charge you for almost everything. to join Senior sunrise you have to pay a ticket, to join prom you have to pay between $80-$100 which is a ridiculous amount of money for such a bad school, the only acceptable pricing is $10 to join homecoming. The food is also horrible, i once got served 2 month expired raisins, the chicken doesn’t look fully cooked, and the fruit dont look 80% fresh. Some of the teachers here do try their best to help students but some don’t care enough to actually teach and some will treat you differently if you talk bad about the school since most of the staff and teachers graduated here. I haven’t met my guidance counselor but i heard students in some of my classes collectively talk about how some of them don’t do their job and dismiss the students with whatever problem they have unless they are suicidal. The bullying here is horrible and almost no one does anything about it. Safety is also bad because the middle school is more safe than the high school since all we have to protect us is a fence and i think 2 police officers walking around. The kids also aren’t the best. i’ve been alone for a whole year with no friends and when i try they all have been rude, dismissive, and gave me an attitude just for talking to them. The school also don’t give enough electives that are more than just theater and art. instead of worrying abt the kid being late and what they’re wearing, they should focus on the education here.Student Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 570 Eagle Run.
