5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not know where to begin with all of the things I feel that are wrong with this school. My granddaughter tells me that in certain classes she is always getting made fun of and bullied. She has told the teacher and nothing is done. My grandson, who is in third grade, can't recite the months of the year, use proper tense in sentencing, or even spell second grade words. I do not know what they are being taught at schools now but it sure isn't anything that is actually needed in to survive adulthood. He needs to be held back but knowing the school system I wouldn't be surprised if he promoted to 4th grade. It seems to me like dumbing up these kids is their job now.Parent Review11mo ago - George W. Jenkins Senior High School

"It’s quite small and centered between route 210, Waldorf, and National Harbor. Most living here are families with good jobs. Also it has become an area with steady growth in the surrounding commercial zoning locations due to the increase in residential property development. It’s a budding location with a lot of potential to offer its current and future residents."

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
