  • Trulia User
"NE (Northeast Neighbors) area from East University Avenue 9TH ST to NE 11TH ST and Waldo RD north to NE 4TH Avenue is on the whole friendly and clean but not a safe area at night time. There is a significant amount of crime and bad activity that requires one to be cautious at night. I wouldn’t want to raise a small child here. It’s nice being close to downtown and the historic district but it’s very near other bad neighborhoods. After 20+ years here, I’m moving."

"The roads aren’t too busy, so kids can play safely in the streets. The roads are lit and quiet, but there are no sidewalks. There is also a new park close by that my family and I are able to bike to, or it’s just a 3 minute drive. "

"Well dog owner would like open spacious areas so their dogs can roam around, but what they wouldn't like is to have other dogs wonder into their own property. So keeping large areas fenced in would be awesome."

"Several longtime residents, and everyone is pretty friendly. The canopy of pine trees is a beautiful sight, especially in the middle of town. Walking to Ward's and Curia is one of the best features, and ready access to Sixth Street means quick trips to most places, like downtown, UF, and the airport. I love it here."
