9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe ASD specialist actively worked against my child throughout his time there. She fought to have him removed from the classroom as a "health risk" during COVID and both she and the district created "behavioral incidents" that they saw at home during times he wasn't even on camera in order to keep him out of the school. The ASD specialist is also the teacher's union steward, so she basically controlled the principal and everything she wanted is what happened. We spent thousands on advocates and lawyers to no avail and our son fell way behind because of this school. Also, they continually broke his IEP. Even when we were forced to stay remote, we had it added into the IEP that he could at least see his peers. Nope. Never. Not once. The school also never supplied the science teacher with a working webcam, so he didn't even get to see his teacher for that class. Really? Not one working webcam in all of Floranada? But my son was the only child at home in his grade so who cares, right? He's just one kid and clearly one kid means squat to Floranada. We enrolled him in Hollywood Hills the following year and the teachers looked at his IEP and were like, "Uh... Who is this student? This is not the child we have." It turns out when your school's ESE department isn't actively trying to keep your kid isolated from the rest of the school, the child does well! Imagine that!Floranada is the absolute worst experience our son has had in education. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. If you're not their favorite, they will set your child up for failure.Parent Review1y ago - Northeast High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI live east but teach out west. Most public schools that are east get a pretty bad review. Northeast High School is one of the good ones. The faculty and staff care about what is best for the students. Communication between school and family is a major player in ensuring a successful high school experience and Northeast High excels. The teachers are readily available for extra help if necessary and are sure to challenge and push when needed. From the front office and guidance to coaches and administration, everyone is ALL IN! The opportunities to learn and grow reach beyond the classroom. There are many diverse and interesting clubs, organizations, and athletic teams to get involved in as well as community and school related committees. I highly recommend checking them out!Parent Review2y ago - James S. Rickards Middle School
