6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son transferred from Eastern PA and is now finishing his second year at Boca Raton Community MS. From his registration to class assignments the school administrators were extremely helpful. He took advanced courses in all subjects except for computer science which he found unchallenging. The school has great teachers for most subjects with notable mention going out to Dr. Gwen D'Amico for Civics, Ms. Ghazarian and Ms. Fraguela Cuesta for Math and Honors Algebra. They are exceptional and dedicated teachers. The Music teacher and band director Mr. Richard Powali is phenomenal. He does an "over and above" excellent job with three bands, producing multiple concerts each semester. His work is just amazing and I cannot thank him enough. The Principal Lisa Lee is on top of things and is always present even for the late evening band concerts. Overall I think BRCMS has been a great school for my son and his siblings will likewise attend. If more freedom is allowed in selecting electives and the Computer Sciences coursework for advanced student is improved BRCMS will have my five stars !Parent Review3w ago - Spanish River Community High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is fine. Nothing much better in the area, besides private schools (some of which are arguably much worse). Teachers, depending on class level, subject, individual, are generally good. In my experience, my teachers have cared and know what they’re teaching. It’s fine like it’s normal. Lots of healthy academic competition. If you’re bad at school, this isn’t a good place for you. Not that your looked down upon, but your not at the “average” level of the students here. As most teens are, cliques exist but it’s not that deep. If you’re a kind, chill, not dumb person you should have a problem making friends. So many different types of people, you will find someone who fits you. Drugs are a problem, but it’s south florida. what do you expect? Like it’s a problem but it’s not the schools fault. Olympic has the worst drug issues. Private schools also have tons of drugs, it’s no different. This school teaches a lot about how to deal with people, stress, life overall. You are very prepped for college and how to be a good person. You learn life lessons and academic stuff. It’s a fine school. If your zoned for it, go.Student Review5mo ago - Orchard View Elementary School
