9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnfortunately, I have given up! This school is focused on grades, tests, and not on the child actually understanding the concept or helping a child who is falling behind. Administration is a joke. They don’t like to speak to parents and when they do forget being listened to. 5th grade children had to sign a contract so that they can attend their incentives (dance, field trip, party). Contract was absurd. Only two absences allowed in the whole school year !!!!! Teacher miss way more than that. But unlike my child, children belonging to certain parents especially PTA are preference and can do no wrong. The contract does not correspond to them. My child is not allowed in any 5th grade incentive after so many years in this school excelling in every class and scoring great on standardized test. No sorry, excused absences are more important to them then all the effort my child puts. So thankful it’s their last year here. DO NOT RECOMMEND.Parent Review2mo ago - Ponce De Leon Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis HS is really two schools in one: the IB program and the regular school. I hear the regular school is terrible. The IB program is extremely rigorous but very strong. Kids graduate knowing three languages in some cases. The AP courses are very strong (but hard, of course). The kids in the IB program are very smart but a bit too competitive and hard-core. Expect hours of homework every night and every weekend.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 1049 Malaga Ave.
