1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience today was horrible! I have to check my child out early daily due to my daughter being released at the same time as she is disabled and is in a different school district and rides a bus home from port st John, while I get there the school is having a fire drill. so I had to wait for kids to return to class before the desk clerk could call him to the office when I go to leave, there are two lines going for people to pick up there kids when released one of the lines is formed inside the parking lot so I could not leave to get to my daughter I was stuck in the parking lot for 25 minutes as a single mom with no family I had to call the only person I know here to try to hurry to get to my child's bus as I am on the phone with the front office the women is telling me that there is nothing she can do that parents come early so this doesn't happen and I was early !! My daughter's bus had pulled over on the side of clearlake waiting for me to get there and was getting ready to leave when my friend got there.... What if there were a more serious emergency there is no way for anybody to drive out of there they need to figure something else out of make sure the parking lot is not being blocked!! The most rediculas thing I have seen with a schools dismissal!!!!they only got one star because I had to rate or it wouldn't let me post my review because I would not give no stars for that messParent Review2y ago - Ronald Mcnair Magnet Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school centered near railroad tracks looks more like a juvenile detention center than a fun welcoming school. Stepping inside the gates you are met (unless parents are around) with teachers yelling and using bull horns. The principal actually uses the Darth Vader song strutting around as if the warden. Lunch time is no better - no talking, you can only look forward military style. Some teachers cared helping us to get ready for High School, others were horrible. Some teachers who were black always teasing blacks kids calling them stupid or slow while traumatizing white kids for nothing more than being white. Field trips to Disney were nothing more than paid “vacations” for the principal and teachers. Avoid going to this school at all costs.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 508 Blake Ave.

"I've lived here a year and all my neighbors are nice and talk to one another. it's a good place to live, but we have out grown this house and want to get into something bigger. I would love to have neighbors like theses were I go to next. one of the best things about this area is that it's quite. there are no problems, no police. They drive through now and then but no issues that I've ever heard of. "
