6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in her 5th year at Galaxy. I went to Galaxy and one of my old teachers still works there. All of my daughters teacher were very nice and helpful. The new building is gorgeous, I just wish they got to do more science and engineering activities in the early years. They focus on FSA A LOT - I understand they have to raise the school grade, and they did increase test scores in many areas, but they should offer something extra for the students who are at or above grade level.Parent Review5y ago - Congress Community Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am the grand parent of one of the students at CM. The student started on Monday, January 10, 2022 and by Wednesday, January 12, 2022 he already was a victim of robbery. It is mandatory for the kids to have headphones for schoolwork! He only been at the school legally for two days before the incident happened! He reported the accident, right after he notice his headphones was missing from his bag! He ask a person in the office to run the cameras, they said no! He was to nervous to tell his mom, because he did not want to make her upset! Also I want people to realize he got those headphones for Christmas, meaning they are not old at all! So as a grandparent I would not recommend any school, that you would have to worry about them being rob or even physically attack by other students! Also I am pretty sure other students seen who took the headphones! They where in the media center taking test at the time. Hell the teachers in the media center maybe even seen it! A student of a hard working single mom!Other Review2y ago - Boynton Beach Community High School

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
