N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been a substitute several times at this school. It was always my hardest assignment. The students are yelled at continually by their teachers, even at lunchtime. In a 1st grade class, one student insisted I stay with him during class time to assist in his writing assignment. He was later yelled at for talking with me. However, the school does have discipline issues. It was often difficult to keep the attention of students during class time, even in art class. There is a specialist on staff to remove disruptive children from the classroom.Teacher Review6y ago - Stanton Middle School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are very dedicated. Good students, just sometimes from difficult backgrounds dealing with teenage or family circumstances. School leadership can be good, but they lack the support from district in handling things appropriately. Can be a great school, but lacks the consistency to do so. Plus, there are a few teachers you just have to shack your head at because they probably can’t even handle their own kids. It really is a Stanton family though. If your student is going here, just know they will be loved and cared for!Teacher Review1y ago - Dickinson (John) High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHad three kids graduate JDHS. All got a great start into college. One went to UD, one to Goldey-Beacom, one to Naval Academy in Annapolis. Great athletic programs. Teachers that care. IB program getting better every year.Parent Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 6 W 29th St.

"We moved into the Ninth Ward Neighborhood in 2009 and have been very happy. We found the area very convenient. Easy access to I-95 and 202. We can walk to a neighborhood park or a little longer walk and we are in beautiful Brandywine Park. We are within walking distance to our church and Salesianum High School. The neighbors are friendly. The homes are very nice. There is an active neighborhood association and the neighborhood is stable. Many long time homeowners in the neighborhood. "
