"It’s mostly a positive place for pets, but there are a few owners who struggle to keep their animals on leases and others that allow their pets to bark or be loud for long periods of time."

  • Trulia User
"Dover is a city just like any other good and bad areas. Though small still homey feeling. I prefer more out west of Dover more of a rural feeling"

"Love it, neighborhood is friendly and full of children. Many dog walkers and I hardly ever have a owner leave poop on my lawn. I haven’t witnessed crime. I do see people walking along the streets but I think it’s due to public transit being near by overall great place "

"There bad projects and low cost trailer parks down the road , so there is a lot of shootings (gun shots being fired)! So called drug dealers down the street and some child molesters, therefore I wouldn’t raise young children in this neighborhood!"

"You don't have the noise of State Street and you are tucked back by Silver Lake. It is a great circle to take walks and you can easily get to Silver Lake Park. Easy walk from McGlynn's Pub and downtown. No one drives down American Ave. if they don't live on the street. The kids are all well behaved and help out the older people with snow shoveling. The older folks are very good to the kids too. I would recommend this neighborhood to anyone who wants the real home town feeling-like Mayberrry on Andy Griffith show."
