8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBased on our recent personal experience and conversations with some of the parents, Eaton Elementary is not best suited for children with special needs. Evaluations were taking a long time; there were examples of special needs children being bullied by their peers, and the LEA Representative was often inaccessible. I must say that we had a wonderful experience with other children and parents. The occupational therapist was great, very devoted, and S&L therapist and psychologist were fine too. On the opposite side of the spectrum, there was shockingly unethical behavior of the general education teacher and LEA Representative, which should have led to a disciplinary action. There is no other middle school in DC with the breadth and depth of course offerings as Hardy. It is a smaller school while still having enough students for all students to find friends. "It’s a very pet-friendly neighborhood. There are lots of impromptu sidewalk doggie play dates. Everyone cleans up after their dog. There is easy access to Rock Creek Park"

"My Family has lived here since 1938. We have a 3 rd generation home. Nice big yard for dogs. My neighbor has a pool. We just had an ally party. My next door neighbors have lived there since 1976. We have Cherry trees that line our street. Old azaleas everywhere."

"12 miles and 30 minutes I cross Chain Bridge and work in Arlington. Very safe route and no main Beltways or Highway. I go against the traffic."
