Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from February 18, 2023
Live like DC royalty in this beautiful condo with tons of windows and two stories. This condo is huge with an open concept living space and kitchen! The building itself is pristinely maintained and everything about it, from the intimacy of the bedroom fireplace to the glamour of the lobby, transports you to its historic luxury. Unlike other buildings, however, this one has stayed on top of maintenance and modern upgrades with a whole new key and package locker system coming next month. This gorgeous Art Deco condo community is perfectly located by one of DC's most beautiful parks, a bunch of grocery stores nearby, including a Harris Teeter less than two buildings away, and metros and bus rides super close. It is basically at the neighborhood corners of U St, Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights, Mount Pleasant, and Dupont so you can find something to do no matter what your mood. There is also private laundry in unit and the building laundry a few doors down the hall. Walk your dog (or cat) around the park and enjoy an inspiring display of flowering dogwoods in the spring or picnic and watch the fireworks from the top of the hill in the summer. Pets are welcome in the building. . The seller loves the property so much and wanted to highlight these items as well: -Incredible location in Adams Morgan just three blocks from 18th street restaurants and nightlife and four blocks from U street; directly across from Malcolm X /Meridian Hill Park -Access to multiple bus lines steps from your front door and a short walk to red and green/yellow Metro lines -Beautiful 100-year old, art deco building listed in the National Register of Historic Places -Two-level condo with massive bedroom suite, which the current owners have used for a dedicated home office and spin studio -Wood burning fireplace provides extra cozy ambiance in the bedroom suite -In-unit European washer and dryer purchased in 2018 with additional access to building’s smart laundry machines at the end of your hall -All new appliances, quartz countertops and subway tile backsplash installed in 2018 -Updated bathroom with new toilet and shower installed in 2020 -Nest smart thermostat -Water and hot water included in condo fee -Large banks of windows on each floor provide ample natural light -Walk-through closet with ample storage -On-site gym included in condo fee -Smart building entry system with digital keys purchased and to be installed in February 2023 -24/7 accessible smart package locker system purchased and to be installed in February 2023 -On-site storage and locked bicycle storage available for rent -Proactive board ensures a well-maintained building.
