4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had an excellent experience with this school. The teachers, staff and principal are excellent - great attention to detail, very responsive on email and in person and clearly make an effort to challenge students. Common core is implemented in a superb way! The academically program is outstanding. The afterschool program is outstanding too. The music and art teachers and the programs they put together are oustanding! The PTO is very active and organizes many events and outings. Activities at the school include field trips to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, a school year-long program organized with the Marvin senior center, art shows, orchestra, an annual field day, learning trips to Calf Pasture beach, the Little Red School House, the Lockwood Mansion, etc. The building and facilities are kept up really well.Parent Review7y ago - Nathan Hale Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe 21-22 school year was really rough, to say the least. It really felt like there was a fight each day and the punishments for the fights were really weak. Sometimes there would big fights and the person who started the fights would be back 2 days later starting fights again. Teachers were sending students to I.S.S (in school suspension) almost all the time. The I.S.S teacher, really doesn't care about anything and students took it more of skipping class than an actual punishment. Due to all of this, the teachers morals really dropped and you can really tell. Don't even get me started when the teachers were absent. One time, the substitute teacher sent over half of the class to security (not even joking) and sometimes the security just sends the students back to the class after like 10 minutes. So after 10 minutes all the bad kids are back in class. I hope next year will be better.Student Review1y ago - Norwalk High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJust recently graduated in 2023, I had a good overall experience at Norwalk being very engaged in sports (Golf and Baseball Teams) and social events. At a school like Norwalk there’s definitely a mix of good and bad things and people which is why you need to surround yourself with good groups of people. Teachers really care and if you are a good student they are always willing to give you that extra push to get a better grade. Despite some low ratings the school teachers and staff do a really good job giving plenty of opportunities to help you succeed however these rating come from kids who decide to not take those opportunities. Be involved and surround yourself with good people and Norwalk High can be a really nice place to be.Other Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 7 Bridge St #2.

"There are great educational opportunities in the area which includes a Magnet School. The neighbourhood is in walking distance to downtown entertainment, local parks, waterfronts, and the transit (bus and/or train) are easily accessible. There is a variety of religious institutions no matter your beliefs. The hospital and police station are close by. More importantly, what gives this town its charm is the people. A diverse community of individuals who found a way to blend their cultural differences to make a place feel like home. "
