N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf i could give this school a negative rating I absolutely would. The administration is clueless as well as beyond incompetent. People in charge do nothing about anything which is utterly sad. This entire school should be shut down by the state. Period.Other Review2mo ago - Dominick H. Ferrara School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly after East Haven changed the schools around, this school has gone down the drain. The children rarely get recess or physical activity and there is no hands on learning, not even in Science class. I was severly dissapointed as a parent to see my child bored and not challenged at all. We decided to leave the EH school system behind and choose a different school for our honor student where she could be challenged.Parent Review12y ago - East Haven High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is a giant disaplinarian and favors students. Most times, I feel like she yells just to yell. She's very rude and entitled, and not to mention 2 years ago she yelled at me to put my phone away during a BOMB THREAT? I was TERRIFIED?! I was sending out my "I love yous" in case anything actually did happen. She left and I kept texting my mother then another teacher yelled at me? We were kept in a dusty ice rink for hours, which ai understand as an evacuation procedure, but nobody else got yelled at. Everybody else was on their phones. Not to mention, I have been hate crimed in the bathroom on several different occasions. A lot of the students are stuck up, obnoxious and insufferable. Most of the staff are good, like the vice principal, he's really nice, but some of them are rude. The teachers expect so much out of us in so little time. Every day, I enter school stressed and leave even more stressed. It's draining.Student Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 193C Thompson St #C.

What Locals Say about East Haven

"I just moved here after living in Naugatuck for over 20 years. Almost everything I need is within walking distance from my apartment, and downtown has a “Normal Rockwell” feel to it. There are sidewalks, people walking their dogs and life! What a refreshing change from the valley! (And the rent is cheaper, too.)"
