4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is a giant disaplinarian and favors students. Most times, I feel like she yells just to yell. She's very rude and entitled, and not to mention 2 years ago she yelled at me to put my phone away during a BOMB THREAT? I was TERRIFIED?! I was sending out my "I love yous" in case anything actually did happen. She left and I kept texting my mother then another teacher yelled at me? We were kept in a dusty ice rink for hours, which ai understand as an evacuation procedure, but nobody else got yelled at. Everybody else was on their phones. Not to mention, I have been hate crimed in the bathroom on several different occasions. A lot of the students are stuck up, obnoxious and insufferable. Most of the staff are good, like the vice principal, he's really nice, but some of them are rude. The teachers expect so much out of us in so little time. Every day, I enter school stressed and leave even more stressed. It's draining.Student Review4mo ago - Momauguin School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageToday was my last day of school at Momauguin. Since Momauguin only goes up to 5th grade, i get to go to a different school. I came from D.C. Moore and there was a huge difference! At Momauguin, I grew so close to my classmates, it was like going to school for another day with my family. I've only been here for 1 year but its the best year ever! So many fun events and kids are in that school! Our 5th grade grew so close, we all started crying on the last day of school! Were like a family and I love each one of them<3Other Review12y ago - Check out schools near 154 Salerno Ave.

"Close to downtown, but not a very educated population overall. Good for single people with a job downtown. Not for a family trying to raise kids. Also lots of city noises like emergency vehicles but that’s something you get use to. Also in some areas you hear the trains but that’s is also you can get use to. "

"Do not move here !! Unless you want to deal with people smoking in the hallways or deal with people throwing trash in the hallways or people blasting music until the sun comes up . Let’s talk about the mice that the have there and don’t do anything about or how about the old appliances they have in these apartments that they refuse to replace if you love that then this is the place for you "

"Nothing I felt/ feel safe going to. Violence has risen here in the last couple of years. I would never let my children outside to play without supervision. This area used to be "Grand" many years ago, but in ensuing years has really gone downhill. It's actually sad. School system isn't as good as touted either. "

"I lived across Whitney Ave on orange street growing up and me and my cousin would walk up to east rock and go shopping at the little grocery. We did our laundry at suds and went to church on Lawrence st. We would go to state st and check out the little shops. It was a nice place to live. Unfortunately the area got a bad name because of a few isolated incidents!"
