4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter was new to this school and I was worried about her fitting in and being up to speed with her classmates. Her teacher was outstanding with keeping me informed and putting my worries to rest. As a parent I was able to get involved as much as possible and the staff was very friendly and professional. My daughter seems to love the school and her teachers. The security is great I love that doors are locked all day long. The only bad thing I can say is staff does not stay out side long enough before and after school to ensure the safety of children with a public park right next to the courtyard I feel it's important to make sure kids get where they need to be safely and that kids aren't locked out before late bell. Other then that great school!Parent Review10y ago - Westminster High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe adults in the building don’t care about the students all they care about is getting paid, if they really cared then maybe the kids there wouldn’t be ditching and not showing up or maybe they wouldn’t have a 3 out of 5 star rating I don’t recommend sending kids here at all no kid that goes to Westminster high school is going to go to college they don’t teach you anything and what they do teach ain’t helpful for the kids GPA’s again I do not recommend sending your kids to this school.Other Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 7000 Beacon Way.

What Locals Say about Westminster

"I live in a quiet neighborhood where everyone is your family and treats you as such once they get to know you. Just make sure not to knock on there door everyday for sugar and not offer them any sugar back when you have some. The lady that lives across from me, she bakes some great Christmas goodies, the old man was helping my neighbor clean up our yard and saw me twitching in my sleep. Made sure I was ok. We’re about to move and I’m going to miss my neighbors dearly. "

"I have lived in Westminster for 18 years out of my 22. I’ve always referred to the city as “sleep suburbia”. Families and the retired. In the past, very odd occurrences happened what seemed all of the time (the late Jessica Ridgeway & Vince Nett, SLHS in general) but in recent years, the city is really thriving and has come a long way. "I absolutely love the Stratford Lakes area. The neighbors are so friendly and outgoing, and the area is gorgeous and well kept. Also, as a single female, I was very comfortable walking in the neighborhood and in College Open Space at night. (Just watch out for coyotes if you're walking with a dog. They'll follow you but can easily be scared away with yelling, clapping, and jingling your keys.)"

"I have lived in this neighborhood fir 5 treats and have enjoyed its convenience if location. I am moving to a private residence - so tired of the spat complexes INLY because there are a few who take no pride in living in apts as their home,ie, throw cups and other trash in the parking lots or shrubs, don’t clean the after their dogs, talk loudly on phones on their patio with no respect for others living close by, etc. I have also had some great apt. neighbors here ."
