3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI thank god all the teachers at this school because some of the teachers and staff and Northglenn high school are super super nice and super helpful. Yesterday some students from Northglenn High school punched me but thank god there was a teacher that works at Northglenn High school by the red light by where these kids started punching me and than god she stopped and asked if I was ok and she also gave me a ride and she walked me to student relations where also these staff members are supper nice and helpful. I thank these staff members and teachers that helped me out in that terrifying day of my life.Student Review2y ago - Westview Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has many burned out teachers, stale lessons, and zero ideas of how to make the school have equal opportunities as all other public elementary schools get an Adams 12 school district. The school does fundraisers throughout the year but will not ask parents for field trip money because it’s always the same excuse, they’re too poor, and do not have the money for field trips or extra curricular opportunities. The teacher rarely give consistent communication, to be honest I have no clue the content my child has learned this year in fourth grade???? Tests are never sent home graded for math or English/writing, the only time you get an update is at parent teacher conferences. If your focus is a good education for your child and for them to be well prepared for secondary school, this is definitely not the elementary school to keep your child in! The majority of these children are going to choke in junior high school and by the time high school comes, it will be even worse for them.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 11101 Alcott Street Unit C.

What Locals Say about Westminster

"I live in a quiet neighborhood where everyone is your family and treats you as such once they get to know you. Just make sure not to knock on there door everyday for sugar and not offer them any sugar back when you have some. The lady that lives across from me, she bakes some great Christmas goodies, the old man was helping my neighbor clean up our yard and saw me twitching in my sleep. Made sure I was ok. We’re about to move and I’m going to miss my neighbors dearly. "

"I have lived in Westminster for 18 years out of my 22. I’ve always referred to the city as “sleep suburbia”. Families and the retired. In the past, very odd occurrences happened what seemed all of the time (the late Jessica Ridgeway & Vince Nett, SLHS in general) but in recent years, the city is really thriving and has come a long way. "I absolutely love the Stratford Lakes area. The neighbors are so friendly and outgoing, and the area is gorgeous and well kept. Also, as a single female, I was very comfortable walking in the neighborhood and in College Open Space at night. (Just watch out for coyotes if you're walking with a dog. They'll follow you but can easily be scared away with yelling, clapping, and jingling your keys.)"

"I have lived in this neighborhood fir 5 treats and have enjoyed its convenience if location. I am moving to a private residence - so tired of the spat complexes INLY because there are a few who take no pride in living in apts as their home,ie, throw cups and other trash in the parking lots or shrubs, don’t clean the after their dogs, talk loudly on phones on their patio with no respect for others living close by, etc. I have also had some great apt. neighbors here ."
