The teachers have a favoritism problem, and it shows. Unfortunately this school does have more "popular" kids, and the teachers tend favor them, as well as athletic kids. Some teachers there are great, like the dean and some other teachers, but most have favoritism issues. Academics aren't bad, but obviously have less choices then some bigger schools. Sports are pretty nice here, and the coaches are willing to give you a hand. To be honest, this school is one of the better ones I've been to, but sometimes the teachers are the issue.Student Review1y ago

"Great mix of folks. Fabulous location; close to Boulder and Longmont, 22 miles to Estes Park. Great access to mountains but many close parks and trails too in Hall, Heil, Rabbit Mtn, and the Longmont Dam/Price Reservoir. "

"Ride 20 or more miles of amazing singletrack and then hit Oskar Blues for great food and beer (and maybe a show). Or just hang by the river and read a book while tubers float by. Plenty to do in Lyons, lots of friendly folks, and a mellow atmosphere make it a great place to live. "
