This school adopted Expeditionary Learning when my daughter was in Kindergarten and we have love, loved it. The students do great learning expeditions and I've been impressed by all the Celebrations of Learning. I also love the character education element of expeditionary learning. My daughter has had great teachers and has really learned a lot. In addition, this school has had an emphasis on health and wellness that we really like. "This area is unique. It is becoming gentrified but in a slower nicer way than a major metro area. Its history is not acknowledged as it should be. It could be the Williamsberg of the west."

"easy drive to work for me 13 miles, however some drive more. not much traffic except during summer when the local roads get heavily traveled as this area is great for campers/camping and outdoor recreation. "

"I came to Leadville 9 years ago due to a job transfer. My husband and I fell in love with the town and the location and both went on to other careers that would allow us to stay and raise our daughter here. You can't beat the small town atmosphere combined with unmatched recreation and views. If we need a mall fix...Denver is just an hour and a half away so we never feel isolated. Although, the local shops have everything we need here...we don't HAVE to leave town for anything. Although our winters are long...our summers are worth the wait! We average 60-70 degrees in the summer and we have over 310 days of sunshine per year, so winter is a great time to enjoy skiing, snow shoeing, snow boarding, nordic skiing, snowmobiling...or any other imaginable winter activity. Come visit the highest incorporated city in the US. Even if you don't decide you want to live here, I guarantee you'll want to come back!"
