6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has a major bullying and harassment problem. I have been going here for about 3 weeks and oh my goodness, me snd my friends get literally harassed by students on/off campus because we are neuro-divergent. I have Anxiety which entails a lot of ASD symptoms and am often made fun of because of my lack of ability to communicate. Also there is a huge racism problem. The students at this school often call the mascot the "Eaton Indian". I have heard so many people drop the soft N-slur, and all of them have been white. The teachers and counselors do diddly squat when it comes to bullying, and they let it run rampant in their classrooms. I cannot handle being at this school. People often try to debate me on my human rights, because not only am I mentally ill but I am also part of the lgbtq+ community. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attended this school for two years. The main teachers she had were very good and caring people and did fantastic work. However, the principle is as phoney as they get. Words that come to mind to describe her is a cranky judgmental witch who has to come down on people for no reason other than a self satisfying power trip. If you don't submit to her ways then she'll take it out on your kid. Over inflated ego for what she is...high and mighty attitude. As far as music, art, or PE.... it is lacking very much. My child would tell me they'd play with building blocks and dry erase boards for art (she rarely brought home any artwork in two years), gym time consists of mostly running laps from my observation and music was nothing spectacular. It is a very small school which has some perks and it is enjoyable to have children mingle but also has downsides. Having a 5 or 6 year old playing alongside 5th graders at recess is not so ideal in some instances; just using basic common sense can tell you that. Also I felt having the same children in the same class year after year is, besides boring, also annoying. Every year the same kids move to the same class because there is only one teacher per grade...small school. The school lunches were good quality and they have a salad bar, very nice. For me, it'd be a better school if 1. the principal wasn't there, she really ruins it with her cold hateful heart. If she targets you then your child will pay "consequences" as this principal thinks it's her business to push her ways on everyone 2. They improved their art and music classes. "If you want to live in Eaton without a car you would be very limited as far as finding a job to sustain yourself. There is access to everything one needs to survive within the city limits. However, most jobs are spoken for, unless you want to work in the fast food industry. It’s about 20-30 minute drive to the nearest Walmart in any direction. Most people work out of town. "

"My neighborhood feels safe and clean. People watch out for one another and you can walk pretty much anywhere. The town would be easy to live in if you didn’t have transportation but it would be difficult to find a job. "
