8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWARNING: DISCRIMINATION, SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND BULLY are the norms of this school, along with the indifferent and unprofessional leadership and teachers. My child has been going through all the three. There was even one discrimination teaching from a teacher with over 20 years teaching experience. The principle and vice principle didn't do anything to solve the three issues. They only pretended they cared. I've heard of similar problems from my kid's classmates. The indifferent and irresponsible leadership, teachers and staff are the main factor causing these horrible issues.Parent Review2mo ago - Merrill Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe decided to move here after our homeschool, which is a half a block away has 85% of the kids bussed in which has resulted in bullying on the girl side.Merrill seems to be a great fit. Our daughter has made some great friends, seems to be thriving in school.Parents are involved. Those who complain are probably not involved.Of course, there are always some issues with teachers. One or two that don’t seem to want to be there. School leadership seems to be top notch and headed in the right direction. Our daughter’s education is thriving. For the reviewer who had a weird comment about the food? Who cares how you cut the pizza if you don’t like the food, pack their lunch. Just be happy that they are serving lunch to the kids.Like any middle school, my daughter has noticed smoking. But we taught her stay away from those kidsParent Review1y ago - South High School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy eldest attended several years ago, and had a wonderful experience in ECE 4s and Kinder. My second child attended for both ECE 3 & 4. Their experience in 3s was great! Ms. Hilary is so kind and patient and caring. Their experience in 4s was... well, it left a lot to be desired. The new principal is trying a mixed age approach for the kids, which sounds great on paper, but by the time my child was at the end of the year in 4s, they were mixed with kids who were just barely 3 1/2, as well as kids who had already been 5 for months. That is a huge difference for children in terms of their development, and we were very disappointed that the class was handled more like daycare than an ECE program. Had we been given the choice to keep our kid in a standard age class we certainly would have done that, and it seems that they have maintained a mix of classroom types. Additionally, the classroom staff experienced a very high amount of turnover, and the second teacher of the year even left 2 weeks before the end of school, without any notice. It felt very inconsistent, and whatever support was extended by the principal was not communicated very well to the parents. However, we know other families who have been very happy throughout, so perhaps we just had an unlucky year. They are very good about forming a community, however, and the pickup/dropoff situation really helps foster friendships among parents as well as the school staff.Parent Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 1155 S Harrison St.

"Original houses have large lots, newer $million+ homes have very small yards. Lots of other dogs in the neighborhood. "

"Bus stop in front of house. Light Rail a 12 minute walk. Excellent schools and churches. Walk to two parks, restaurants, Denver University, and grocery store. Great neighborhood association. Good community. Like a small town. In the city, but often see wildlife, foxes, hawks, deer. Drive 2 minutes to I-25, 5 minutes to Cherry Creek Mall/Farmers Market (or half hour walk), 10 minutes to downtown Denver. Near bike trails and rec center. "

"Reminds me of the mid-western neighborhoods I grew up in back home. Few areas in Denver proper give you that feeling. Great schools keep the values higher than other neighborhoods. Half way between the Tech Center and downtown, 2 min to I-25 and Cherry Creek shopping. The premier location in Denver-proper."
