4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNo school is perfect. Much of it has to do with what the parents and students want out of the learning experience. Both of my sons attended Doherty High and I am grateful for their excellent teachers and staff. One of my sons attended an Ivey League school for undergrad and is now in his third year of medical school. My other son graduates Law School from Tulane University in two months. Most of their peers are enjoying similar success. Not too shabby I must say. It is a great school if you want it to be. Thank you Doherty teachers. You deserve more praise and credit.Parent Review1y ago - Scott Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo be fair and clear I am providing this feedback on several teachers who are teaching 3rd grade. Principal is attempting to be supportive but the school is struggling. School is understaffed. The size of my son's classroom is 27 kids and his teacher is incapable of establishing instructional control over the classroom. There are several kids in the class who are on some sort of a support plan but leave early so teacher is not required to have assistant. My son has been receiving only one page math homework for about half of his year and no other study materials besides being told to read and go over 10 spelling words. Teacher majorly failed at every aspect of communication with me and the only time she would communicate was to notify me that my son's behaviors has been progressing (without telling me a full story). We are hoping for better forth grade and better teacher but if that does not happen we plan on switching schools. The only thing that is holding me back from changing schools is my son begging me not to leave his friends.Parent Review1y ago - Jenkins Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJenkins has done a great job of making it easy for parents to communicate with the teachers. Any questions I have had with regard to my child’s classes have been quickly answered. My child really enjoys going to Jenkins. She feels that the teachers are caring and kind. There are a number of clubs for students to join. It is a welcoming environment.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 6018 Corinth Dr.
