4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has so many problems. It’s not a safe space for lgbtq+ students or students of color. The teachers are very nice and accepting but majority students are not. This school has a high depression/anxiety and drug abuse problem among the students. As it is a great school learning wise the environment is not great.Other Review1y ago - Cheyenne Mountain High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has quite rigorous academic programs. The school is also one of the sports power house in Colorado (with 100+ team championships), particularly in tennis. It is a public school, but the culture is more like private school.Parent Review3y ago - Cheyenne Mountain Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen you look at rankings of schools, CME is ranked high in comparison to other schools in the area. So, in short, it is the best school given what is available around. The problem is other schools in the area aren't great either. So, if you can, avoid Colorado Springs for your children's educational needs. CONS:- Teachers do not engage families. If you let them, they'd communicate with you only during quarterly parent-teacher conferences, that is if they recommend having one. We have worked with a teacher who after being engaged by us was willing to challenge our child who was underwhelmed with the curriculum. We also have had experience with teachers, who even after being engaged by us repeatedly, was not willing to help or challenge our children. Quality among teachers vary greatly, and issues and lack of instruction are not being addressed. - There have been a few issues raised by parents regarding some in-class environments with the Principal, who tells you everything you want to hear but does not follow through. Bullying is not addressed properly, even though incidents of bullying by a couple of teachers have been reported. Even when in dire need for your child's safety, school does not provide or share any information about how they can procedurally address these issues. Nothing is being shared in writing, everything is discussed verbally, and very minimal, if any, is being addressed by the new Principal. We have heard of a few families considering suing the school... - The diversity is laughable as it is non-existent. 90% of school is white and Christian. Teachers feel comfortable expressing their Christian values in the classroom. There is also lack of social-emotional support with unaddressed bullying and in-class nurturing of emotional safety.- Curriculum is underwhelming for most. PROS:- School offers impressive variety of after school clubs and activities. This is a big plus, as children can choose from a wide array of selections from chess to art. - Even though it is mainly composed of conservative Christian population, the children in the classes don't act entitled, hence the competition of material possessions is not an issue. It intermingles both middle income and some wealthy families without creating the us vs. them mentality. - Morning drop offs and afternoon pick ups have been regularly pleasant, with teachers assigned to be outside always greeting the students with smiles and positivity.Parent Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 5620 Jarman St.

"Schools are good. CMSD12 is a great district. Lots of sports options and things for kids to do. Loads of families choose to live here "

"Nice area to walk with my dog. Pretty homes with a variety of architecture with winding, tree covered little streets and lots of dear throughout the year. There is access to Fountain Creek and a couple of different parks in walking distance as well as Ivy Wild if you want to walk to lunch or home from happy hour ;) There are lots of good hills for getting a good work out but they can be an issue on bicycles, but not a problem if u plan your route. Overall I have to say that this area is pretty close to perfect!"

"Live in an apartment off 115, it’s nice being able to walk to the grocery store. What makes it unique is that great hiking is a 10 minute drive away, so it’s very easy to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while. Overall nice area and would definitely recommend to anyone who is moving to Colorado Springs."

"We don’t have much community events in our neighborhood in my opinion but we still speak to neighbors "

"People are very prone to call the animal police over rediculous reasons. If you know a dog doesn’t like you or will bite you don’t purposely go and pester him/her in it’s “home” or “territory”. Simple as that. The people here are rediculous and have no common sense and love to annoy and pester dogs."

"Some houses have very small back yards, or no yard at all. Other than that, can’t think of anything. I’m not a dog owner."

"There are no events in this area that make the community special. It is the view of the mountains and all the outdoor activities that make it special. not the people. Also I'm not a very social person so that plays a part too."

"It has the best schools in all of Colorado Springs and is a very highly sought after area. The rent is very high and hard to find homes in this area due to the high demand to be in the school district. It is a very pleasant area and had a lot of things to offer in a high end neighborhood. The Broadmoor is one the best resorts in Colorado and the Cheyanne Mountain Zoo is in the top ten in the nation."
