The Science department, specifically the elective courses, are taught by some of the most knowledgable and motivated teachers this side of the Mississippi. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just came across this site as I was looking for homes. My child is in Kindergarten this year and we have been very happy with his education at Midland. This year there are two Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Shaw and Mrs. Wykoff. They both have taught Kindergarten for a long time and you can tell that they really enjoy doing it. My child comes home feeling cared for and excited about what he learned that day and I am so thankful for that. They send home this BEE Book each day that tells me how my son did that day, and tells me some great information. Every time I come to the school, Mrs. Wykoff and Mrs. Shaw greet me with a big smile, which feels good as a teacher. The other grades seem good too but I am most impressed with Kindergarten. I am so thankful that we found this school as we live many miles away from the school. We researched and looked at many schools and this school was the best fit for our child. We could not be happier. If you are looking into Kindergarten for your child, this is definitely a place to try out. You won't be sorry!Parent Review8y ago - West Middle School

"In my particular neighborhood, (Cross roads: Kiowa St. & South Limit) it feels safe and is quiet at night time. I feel comfortable letting my kids walk the dog by themselves during the day, (not too far away, of course!) Overall, I have no complaints since moving to this neighborhood! "

"There are plenty of nearby trails and dog parks. There is no heart worm incident originating locally. Ticks are very very rare, even on the foothill trails. Fleas are uncommon. Several great vets are in the neighborhood. "

"This is an ideal location for many. Two miles from the Broadmoor, two miles from Old Colorado City, two miles from downtown. Best restaurant in Colorado per Conde Naste is about 1 mile away. Walmart 0.8 miles away. "

"I own a house here, and have sense 2011. Very quiet neighborhood, and I have never had an issue with any of my neighbors. Everyone is friendly, and sociable. Close to Old Colorado city, and a lot of different restaurants, and independent shops. Great place to live, and raise a family."
