6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was a real eye opener after moving from an inner-city school mentality. It is has many of the features of a private school due to some of the very generous parent donations . After having two of my children graduate from BMHS, I have to say that I am glad they received an education in the Eagle County. The only complaint I have is. I never found a way to connect with other parents. I was not asked to volunteer and it was difficult for my teens find their niche with the other students. On the plus side, it has a stellar science department which not only taught my children the fundamentals of science, but instilled a passion in my youngest for science that I never thought existed! This includes the Social Sciences taught by Mr Phelan, who provided my teens with a journey of self discovery which none of us will soon forget. A math department that is becoming stronger and more stable everyday thanks to some great leadership and finally a foreign language department that is truly unique. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son just finished up his K-5 experience at AES. I can't think of a better school in the area. The teachers are unsurpassed. The principal has provided amazing leadership and has added many programs such as Celebrate the Beat, First Notes and Half Notes, and has worked with the Vail Valley Foundation to provide after school activities. "Wildridge is the mountain area across from Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch ski areas. People like living in Wildridge because it is close to the ski areas, including VAI,L and Avon has a great town center for this area. There are great hiking and biking trails right in Wildridge and people really enjoy being this close to town, yet live in an area that has BLM and Forest Service Land to recreate on. "

"Avon is a great location for anyone looking for easy access to the world class resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek. Avon is the town located at the very bottom of the Beaver Creek ski. A new gondola, The Riverfront Express, now gives residents and visitors to Avon direct access to skiing at Beaver Creek. Avon also has a centrally located transportation center that has direct bus service to Vail. Avon is only a 20 minute drive from the Eagle Airport and 2 hours from Denver International Airport. Avon is the perfect destination for winter and summer visitors because it offers Nottingham Park, paved bike trails, the Eagle River for rafting, kayaking and fly fishing. It's an affordable option to Vail with several newer properties to choose from. "
