I have had two of my children at this school, and it has been a great experience with both my children. I am an educator myself (higher ed), and am well aware of the challenges that public schools face. Despite those challenges, IVC excels in delivering quality education to students. They have a robust STEAM program. One of the things that particularly impressed me is that they pay close attention to the Math level placement of all students. One of my children was placed into an Advanced Math course, but within a week the school realized that the student could use more of a challenge. They called us with an option to move our student up a level in Math. There were 4 other students who were identified and called. I am beyond impressed that a school would take that much interest and initiative to ensure that their students are being adequately challenged and appropriately placed. The decision of whether or not to move up was left to us and our students. In addition to strong academics, their Band, Choir, Art, and Drama programs are also wonderful! Highly recommend this school if you're looking for a well-rounded, solid education for your student, and preparing them well for high school and beyond.

My journey at James Logan High School wasn't marked by academic excellence, but little did I know that those experiences would shape the path to my success today. While I wasn't the top student, the diverse environment and supportive community at the school provided a fertile ground for personal growth and exploration.Today, as the founder of my own tech company, I've come to realize that success is not solely defined by grades or classroom achievements. It was through these values that I discovered my true calling in the tech industry.The diverse backgrounds and perspectives I encountered during my time at Logan have proven to be invaluable. They taught me to think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with a range of people, skills that are fundamental to my role as an entrepreneur.Looking back, I can appreciate how the patient and supportive teachers in the ICL college prep program played a pivotal role in my journey. They believed in my potential and nurtured my growth, which ultimately motivated me to strive for success beyond the classroom.As the founder of a tech company, I'm not only pursuing my passion but also contributing to the ever-evolving landscape of technology. James Logan High School may not have witnessed my academic brilliance, but it sowed the seeds of determination and resilience that continue to drive my success today.In the end, it's not about where you start, but where you're headed. My kid loves the after school program- he asks to go daily. They also recently started school clubs like math Olympiad, chess club, soccer club which my kid is a member of- (and some others that he didn't sign up for like garden club) so I can see the effort they are taking.
