6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible experiences over and over again. There are teacher’s who care and they’re probably the only good aspect but most good teachers are leaving soon. The office administrators are just awful if you got a problem they act as thought they are working with you to solve it but nothing ever gets solved. Bullied and retaliate? Get 3days off while attacker gets expelled 2 weeks. Get bullied constantly? Will have many office visits with little help with the actual problem. Honestly if you’re looking for a school that actually considers your child or you as a person who genuinely needs help then this is not it . You and your child will get shut down repeatedly and your time and effort will be treated as air.Other Review10mo ago - Meyler Street Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur eldest son with mild autism has been attending Meyler for 3 years now and this is probably the best decision we made for him (upon recommendation of his previous school who does not have a SPED program).Mr. Yang and his team are amazing at supporting and making sure each child with IEP gets the best possible education in a safe environment. My son has learned to play the recorder too and with the encouragement of his teacher, has enjoyed trying different sports.Teaching staff to child ratio is pretty good hence each child with IEP's development is monitored well. Parents also get the privilege of communicating with the teacher directly and we exchange notes on our son's behavior quite often. The way they care for our kids goes beyond the school. We highly appreciate this and feel the sincerity. Our son often tells us how he feels safe and respected at Meyler. This is music to every parent's ears. Even the children in general education that he interacts with are really nice according to him. The Meyler community is great to be honest. I'm not here often but when I am, everyone is all smiles.Parent Review4mo ago - Nathaniel Narbonne Senior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, this school has changed my life completely. There is always an adult to talk to in confidence and they always try to do the best for your education. Some teachers are strict but they do it so that we can learn education. I give it a 10/10. I learned English ( basic) in less than two years I love the emotional support they give us all, some students are disrespectful but it is part of adolescence or problems or traumas but for me my experience was the best since I arrived in the United States I went to that school I have tried several schools but Nathaniel Narbonne high school helped me a lot....I love themStudent Review1mo ago - Humanities And Arts (Harts) Academy Of Los Angeles

"Neighborhood is not the safest and streets are not well maintained. Loud and frequent fireworks at night and occasional parties that can be heard even blocks away. Lots of drag racing. My particular apartment complex is not quiet and not an ideal place as a grad student. I would not recommend this neighborhood to a friend. "

"Free ways are all conveniently close by. All major freeways at that. 105, 110, and 91 freeways are all easy to reach within minutes. I’m able to get to Downtown L.A. rather quickly and I’m also able to get to the Manhattan Beach areas pretty quickly too. "

- Misael P.

"It’s very busy and people are always speeding and it feels very unsafe to drive around here, also there’s a lot of illegal dumping in the streets and I have never seen a sweeper come through here. "
