6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst year in and school seems fine... no middle school is perfect as kids are going through a lot during this age period but they do a good job staying in communication with parents. Nice campus with a lot of activities.Parent Review2mo ago - Twin Oaks Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience as a student at TOES as people now call it (Twin Oaks Elementary School) was horrible. I went to TOES from 3-5 grade. I begun class and my first friend I made was a kid that had to be moved to our class because some kid had done something inappropriate to him. That kid was still aloud around my friend and did more things to him. I was bullied for all of my years at TOES. The school counselor/social worker would only give me toys but would do nothing to help with what I was going through. The bullying I faced got so bad yet the person who was bullying me remained in my class. My mom requested numerous times for me to be able to move schools and nobody ever let me. The school simply did not care. I faced a lot of harassment and kids would do very inappropriate things all of the time and teachers wouldn’t say a word about it. In fourth grade my teacher had too many students LEGALLY. She had more students than what a teacher was supposed to have. She would neglect the more quiet kids and let the loud “popular” kids get away with whatever they wanted. The principal was horrible to me and gave me a week long punishment where I wouldn’t get recess or lunch and had to sit in her office. All I did to receive this punishment was simply accidentally walk on the WRONG SIDE of the hallway.Other Review2mo ago - Mission Hills High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy both kids studied at Mission Hill High School, both ended up being admitted to very good reputation Universities. My daughter graduated with a Bioengineering degree at UCSD last year; she is working at Scripps Health now. And my son is in his 2nd-year studying at UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology. Thanks to all the teachers and councilors at Mission High School for encouraging my kids. I didn't sign them up for any special programs or classes to help or guide how to write the application essays. However, students need to keep high GPA points, take some AP classes, and write a draft (for the UC system application essays) earlier to submit to one or two teachers to ask their opinions. I highly recommend students sign up for school activities such as marching band and academic league, and do some summer volunteer or intern jobs.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 345 Borden Rd.
