I currently attend SCHS and I transferred here in my freshman year. In comparison to my old school, I would not at all recommend this school. School begins so unreasonably early, students do not get anywhere close to enough sleep. Teachers assign crazy amounts of hw, with most of them assigning an hour every day, which leaves no time to care about your mental health/exercise for physical health or have a social life. Additionally, the school makes the worst decisions in hiring AP teachers. I recently discovered that my AP chem teacher last year was a teacher in learning, which explains why I failed the test. My calculus teacher would just tell us that we should already know this rather than actually explain what we are learning. Most classes give a quiz every week, and in AP bio we are given a test in an unusually short amount of time, and as expected, much of the questions on the test are not even related to the lectures. As for safety, theres at least 1 school fight weekly, and a kid even passed out because he got put in a chokehold. On top of that, the school health office is closed most days, so if you are injured, there's nothing the school can do for you. With scheduling problems too, it's highly unlikely that you will get the classes you ask for, and when you visit the counselors, they say there isn't anything they can do. Overall, the school could do much better in comparison to other schools in the district, and could definitely take some tips from schools outside the district.

Safe school to be at and the pick up structure is easy

Before sending your student here, please look at this review first.The Student Service staff are extremely unprofessional. When a situation came to them, they handled it extremely poorly. They laughed and told the two to get out and go play as if they were little kids. Not to mention, the principal. They rudely shoo'ed them out and told them a harsh no and walked away. Overall, they treated this situation as if it was a joke. Though they were transitioning to break, that is not the way you talk to students.
