    "Easy for downtown or North Peninsula. You can head north over the GG bridge quickly if you avoid the congested times on 19th avenue. If I leave before 8:30 AM on a weekend, I can be in Sausalito in 20 minutes. Also, the beaches are nearby, and Ocean Beach to Pacifica and Montara - are all short drives."

However, I really alarmed myself one day by checking a sex offender registry app for the neighborhood, and list of results was crazy long, even just for the few blocks around our house. I think it's certainly something to look into more closely before bringing children to live in the area."

    "Most people take the M line, whether they're going directly to a downtown station or taking the train in the opposite direction, to reach the Balboa Park Bart Station. Unfortunately, the M has a notoriously chaotic approach to arriving on time and sees more than its fair share of bizarre events on or around trains, which makes commuting by train more untenable than anywhere else in the city I've lived. More and more people are switching to Lyft or Uber as they're far more likely to arrive on time to work or appointments, that way."

    "We are one half mile to Bart and one block from muni stop. The grocery is on the other side of the hill. It’s a tough walk uphill but is about 3/4 mile away. Very near mission district restaurants, easy drive, long walk. Easy access to 280. In the few years I have lived here, things are gradually but continuously improving In the area."

    "The graffiti here is unique and feels like art! There are great views out over the ocean when you get to the top of the neighborhood. Muni runs right through, so you feel very connected to the city. We have a community garden and a library right up the street."

We have public transportation, a city college, state university, shopping mall, all kinds of restaurants, a library, park, gym, UPS, Walgreens, Target, WholeFoods. And the freeway is close by! It's just all super convenient! There are even a few bars nearby where there are live performances."

    "Dog owners would love that there are multiple pet-friendly parks within walking distance. There aren't a whole lot of places to hike, though. My neighborhood is quite compact—most houses have no front yard and a very small backyard, so dogs would have limited space to play around."

    "It's not the safest neighborhood. It's pretty quiet, but always watch your surroundings, make sure to lock your car, don't leave any valuables in sight. There's a dispensary nearby, so if you don't like the smell of weed, try to stay away from that area."

    "Typically I take Muni or BART to get around, since parking can be really hard to find. Public transportation is super convenient and can take me wherever I need to go. It's also all within walking distance. Sometimes the commute time is really long, and there are delays, but it's still better than looking for parking."
