    "I've lived in this neighborhood on and off for 3 years and I love it. You feel secluded from urban chaos thanks to the trees and easy park access, with all the walkable amenities and highly-rated burritos you can hope for super close along the Divisadero corridor. There are plenty of public transportation options and you're walkable to great grocery options like Whole Foods, Bi-Rite, Trader Joe's, Target, and more. The best part: endless doggy-watching! I love raising my puppy right on the Panhandle in a community of fellow dog-lovers."

    "I lived on the 1800 block of Oak Street for 13 years. I had a blast but i left to start a family. The Haight is not a place I would want to raise a kid. I found the area to be pretty safe however I had friends who were mugged leaving my apartment and there is a faction of people in the neighborhood who are there simply to cause trouble. The proximity to the park is great. The panhandle is great (during the day). There are good places to eat and drink coffee in the Haight although you might get sick of them after a while. On Oak Street you are sufficiently away from haight st. to avoid the majority of the negatives. You do not, however, want a window that faces Oak Street. The street noise of this busy 3 lane thoroughfare is substantial and the report from my neighbors is that the unsavory element in the Panhandle at night is abundant. "
