Math is great if your in advanced. English is bad, teachers just mess around and do not really grade besides advanced ones. The teachers she's had have been wonderful and the principal is very involved. I am happy with my daughter's progress at Walker. "Mira Mesa hosts 4th of July parade with all day events at the community recreation center and city park. In past years, it included fireworks. The park often hosts Chinese New Year celebrations. "

"There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood. Dog owners almost always keep their dogs on leashes and usually pick up after their pets. If your dog is easily excited by other dogs there will be a lot of barking when dogs pass by. "

"There is a farmer’s market that goes on every other week at Mira Mesa High School. During Halloween and Christmas there is tree shopping/ pumpkin patches held in the same area. By the rec center there are always cultural events held for Chinese New Years."

"Las Casitas neighborhood in Mira Mesa is the best! Packages are never stolen from doorsteps and we have accidentally left our keys in the car and nothing was stolen. Very safe and everyone is friendly and respectful. "

"Traffic is extremely congested at key times of the day. And petty theft can be a problem for packages and vehicles but is otherwise a great neighborhood other that the high rent in the area considering the dwellings in question."

"Great access to hwy 15 and hwy 56, about 20 minutes from anywhere. Mira Mesa blvd has so much traffic it is hard to avoid."

"I commute 15 miles to work twice a week. My husband, on the other hand commutes to LA! Traffic is bad during rush hour in Mira Mesa, especially along Mira Mesa Blvd, it can take 20 minutes to go 3 blocks. Other than that, it's a pretty decent area. I feel safe here. My kids like it. "
