7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe switched to this school and absolutely love it. A positive / experienced teacher, supportive / inclusive admin, wonderful school programs, beautiful campus / classrooms, involved / welcoming parents have made this an environment my child looks forward to every morning. My child is now absolutely thriving in an better environment after they had a terrible experience at another Tierrasanta school. Highly, highly recommend this school! Can’t say enough positive things!Parent Review7mo ago - Farb Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is decent but its social safety in this school is a reason not to come here, in 2022 there was a student taking special education on the balcony of some stairs, sticking his legs off like he was about to jump. There are students not treating each other fairly, making fun of each other, and some weird activity going on sometimes in this school, finding kids asleep in bathrooms, human waste in urinals, and ect.Student Review4mo ago - Serra High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended this school during covid and while it was his responsibility to do the right thing and make the right choices, the staff was not supportive at all. There were many fights, a lot of inappropriate things like vaping in the bathrooms. This is a women ran school and while I completely support women it would have been nice to have a male presence. The kids would have better respect if there was a male Principal or VP. In the end the teachers did their jobs well, some better than others. I would recommend this school if your child can tune out the drama of middle school. Mine could not and it caused a lot of anguish. When I would reach out to the principal Mrs. Jaramillo she wouldn't respond at all and I did not appreciate the avoidance. The last three years of middle school have been very frustrating and difficult, I do not solely blame the teacher, principal or school environment I do hold my son accountable but also believe their could have been much better support than what we received. Glad we are finished and onto a new chapter.Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 4949 Alejo St.

"pretty safe area. some of the apartment complexes experience car theft from cars on the street. but those are few and far between and not regular occurrences. lots of people walk pets and go for a morning run here. the hills and trails keep you active."

"tons of people go for morning walks/jogs with both their kids and pets. a little slice of quiet in San Diego. The homes are overpriced for what they are however and I dont see that changing."

"We have lived here for 3 years now since 2020. The area is quiet with plenty of kids due to the 3 different elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school in the area. Military housing is close by as well though separate and in its own community. The apartments in the area are well maintained and ypu will usually spot several different people walking pets, jogging, or hiking to the various nearby trails. it's a great area if you can afford the overinflated home prices."

"I like the fenced in backyard. That is the nicest feature. I like that there is poop stations to put your dog poop bags into every couple miles along the sidewalks. Not everyone follows the rules about picking up after their dogs though. "
