5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can't say Aint enough good stuff about this elementary school. My. My son went from kindergarten to 5th grade without any issues. The teachers are so helpful, the counselor is amazing and the principal knows how to handle her stuff. The special education teachers go above and beyond to make sure that your child gets all the services they need. Such a huge parent Involvement beyond just the classroom. You really feel like part of a family here.Parent Review1y ago - Mann Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been the WORST school I have ever had a child of mine attend. Please, feel free to browse the other reviews here, where some happen to be from actual students who were afraid for their safety. It’s very unfortunate to experience extreme unprofessional behavior and communication from the staff, ESPECIALLY from counselors such as Harold Lewis II. I have both witnessed, and experienced for myself, tactics of intimidation and defensiveness during conversation with students and parents, including physical methods. Any inappropriate behavior from students, such as fighting and bullying, is encouraged by counseling staff, as they do not address these issues in an effective and professional manner. FOR YOUR OWN AND YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY, DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS SCHOOL. Do everything in your power to avoid enrolling them in this school, as unfortunately you WILL regret it. The teachers are overworked and dismissive. If you have no choice but to send them here and you and your child have to endure the nature of the school’s ability to truly educate, please don’t hesitate to REPORT them, even to the district if necessary. Sadly, they do bank on the fact that working parents tend to be short on time given their work schedules, so it’s best to avoid this school at all costs. Good luck.Parent Review3mo ago - Crawford High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCrawford is an amazing school with many talented young students who are motived to learn. The staff at Crawford is great, they support the students with their needs. Our school has an awesome program for those who want to enter the medical field with many programs/clubs and great AP classes. The sports team is great having one best cross country team in San Diego and soccer team. Crawford happily supports all students who have learning differences. Crawford is a very diverse school with many students coming from all over the world. We all support each other culture and believes. As incoming Senior of the class of 2020, Crawford is a great school and I am glad to attend this school.Student Review4y ago - Check out schools near 4540 Rolando Blvd.

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 7 years and I like many things about it. I have some concerns about the homeless in the area especially around clay park, which is part of why I don't want to raise my daughter here."

"Older neighborhood that's becoming more family friendly as it's revitalized through home improvements and younger owners. Always been a friendly area without much of a crime problem. Walking the streets late at night is peaceful and safe."

"I moved here about a year ago and love it. I moved from the San Joaquin Valley where it's hot in the summer, cold and foggy in the winter, and almost the whole year, the air is filled with unknown chemicals and dust. Anyway, I moved to SD and my realtor showed me this neighborhood with more reasonably priced houses and still close enough to all of the great attractions of SD. I am happy in the neighborhood; it's generally quiet and safe but within walking distance of good restaurants, bars, and shopping. My neighbors (so far) are all super pleasant and easy to get along with!! "

"Great rental area, close to SDSU, restaurants and transportation. And also offer quiet pocket areas perfect for families!"

"An incredibly unusual area in San Diego - neighborly, friendly, people know you (in a good way) and watch out for you - I call it the little "Leave it to Beaver" pocket of San Diego. Folks care about their neighborhood and actively try to improve it - lots of community participation. Wouldn't live anywhere else in San Diego!"
