3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 kids at Franklin and we couldn’t be happier. The school has state of the art new classrooms, exceptional teachers, and an amazing new principal. We have a great new school counselor, engaging STEAM program, and involved families. My kids want to go to school and want to do well.Parent Review4mo ago - Patrick Henry High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school. My son has done very well, and standards are kept high. The teachers are highly qualified and professional. This is a very large school with a lot of kids, and no school is perfect, but this comes close. I'm looking forward to having my other son start there in a couple of years. There is also assistance in getting prepared for college for anyone who needs it. There is tutoring available, as well as Saturday school and summer school. There are social activities, dances, clubs, ROTC, and more. There is a public bus stop right on the corner for any student who needs a ride to or from the school.Parent Review1mo ago - Hoover High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very happy with Lewis Middle School. My first son graduated a couple of years ago and now my younger son is in 7th grade. The grounds are clean, the staff and teachers are amazing, and my boys have been very happy there. High standards are very important to my, and I feel that this school has done a great job on keeping the expectations high. All of the resources you need are available including tutoring and counseling. There are social clubs after school, ASB opportunities, and after school activities such as dances and dine-outs. Lewis Middle School does an excellent job of preparing students for high school by giving them planners at the beginning of each school year, and teaching them how to keep track of homework and other assignments so that they can be organized.Parent Review1mo ago - Wilson Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a substitute teacher, and recently had a single day assignment at this school. Let me start off by saying that I am a fully credentialed teacher, and have subbed at the vast majority of middle schools within San Diego Unified. My experience at this school was nothing short of shocking. Every school no matter where you go has the classroom "handfuls," but at this school these students have zero respect for adults and lie to teachers like it's a knee jerk reaction. Very sad state of affairs. Apparently there are no consequences at this school, and you can tell that from the attitude of the trouble makers. It's probably a school that subscribes to the notion of "restorative justice." It's sad that the school lets the classroom trouble makers ruin the educational experiences of the majority of students who genuinely appreciate the value of education. The funny thing is that I had subbed at Mann Middle School down the street the day before, and it was a night and day difference. Like I tell people all the time, the atmosphere of the school dictates everything. From the administrators, to the resource assistants, and teachers. If everyone isn't on the same page, then the students will suffer!Teacher Review7y ago - Check out schools near 4343 Menlo Ave.

"Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t clean up after their dogs. There are not a lot of places to walk to. This is not one of those neighborhoods where you can walk to a trendy area with restaurants, shops, bars, etc. "
