"It’s the best! The craftsman and Spanish style houses are the cutest! Great mix of younger and older generations. Central to everything San Diego has to offer."

"Many bars, restaurants and other businesses are dog friendly. Many businesses leave water dishes out which is convenient when you walk. Several nearby off leash dog parks, and a quick drive to several off leash dog beaches. Sidewalks are poorly lit, so a flashlight and light up collar are good to have so drivers can see you. Keep your tiny dogs safe, there are occasional hawks and coyote that come from the canyons."

"I worked in this neighborhood for 2 years and the community is awesome. Everyone is friendly and the areas are well maintained in the neighborhood, the main streets have a little more wear and tear but nothing more than any busy metropolitan area. There’s a little crime but I’ve always felt safe regardless of that. I’m eager to move back because I miss the restaurant and bar scene so much. Tons of great cafes and breweries and restaurants to try. "

"Crime and homelessness are increasing in the neighborhood. Kids are vandalizing they neighborhood. Housing is way over priced and the schools aren’t that good. The parking situation is miserable. There are a lot of bars and breweries so the weekends are terrible for parking or taking your family out. The good restaurants are closing and fast food chains are moving in. "

"Dog owners would like how dog friendly the town is. Coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries all allow dogs. Dog owners would hate how there are barely any public trash cans to dispose of dog poop and also that other dog owners do not pick up after their dogs. "

"No community, crowded, poor schools, lots of homeless and drug addicts... if you feel those are okay for your kids to grow up in then have fun. I would not raise my children in North Park, no way, no how. It’s more of a college/party vibe. TONS of bars. Plus it’s expensive, no bang for your buck in this area....."

Be careful and visit the neighboring blocks to get a feel if there are more residential, family homes or apartment complexes. There can be a lot of transients in the area, as well, the closer you get to University and 30th. "
