Description

VIEWS! VIEWS!! VIEWS!!! From the moment you walk into this stunning home you will be captivated by the sit down panoramic bay and ocean views of the San Diego coastline. The property sits near the peak of Bay Park in a quiet neighborhood with mature landscaping and attractive curb appeal. As you step though the front double door entry you enter a bright and airy floor plan which showcases a beautifully remodeled kitchen, stacked stone fireplace, tumbled travertine tile floors, and a great room for entertaining. The indoor-outdoor concept flows perfectly to a large deck that allows views from downtown San Diego to the Coronado Islands, La Jolla, and beyond. Impress your friends with evening firework shows from SeaWorld, summer speed boat races, and year-round sunsets. The main level lives like a single story with a gorgeous master suite with a stone oversized shower, and on the other side of the home a separate two bedroom wing which share a hallway bath. Each of the generously sized guest bedrooms includes built-in storage options. Downstairs there is a optional bedroom, office, or flex space which could be expanded into an ADU or in-law suite. Core upgrades include all new ABS plumbing, dual paned windows and doors, replaced water heater in 2019, French drainage system smart app garage door opener system, and newly installed energy efficient LED recessed lighting in the kitchen. The lower portion of lot also includes ocean views and provides alley access with a backyard big enough to include a grass play area or pool! For years Bay Park was one of those hidden gem communities and has truly flourished in recent times. The addition of the upcoming trolley line along the I5 has brought this area to life with new businesses, facelifts of many commercial storefronts, and the gentrification of older neighborhoods. If you are looking for coastal convenience this is the perfect home for you. Just minutes down Balboa and you are in Pacific Beach. Other local spots include Costco, nearby eateries and breweries, and a plethora of options in just about any direction. The home offers room for expansion and includes a large walk-in crawl space with plenty of storage and high-speed fiber optic WiFi. What is most impressive about this home is the beautiful views which are accompanied by a constant coastal breeze, a daily reminder of how fortunate we are to live in San Diego.

What Locals Say about Bay Park

  • Shawna Riley
"The construction is horrible but the views on the hill are nice. Sea world has fireworks every weekend in the summer which can be a bit much for dogs. But close to everything! "

"I live in coral bay and the parking is awful. There’s always construction so it’s not very pleasant. Nice view though "

"My fiance and I bought a house here a year ago, and absolutely love it! The neighbors are all really friendly and respectful, and a lot of vibrant young couples are moving in everywhere with young children and dogs. We can walk to some great parks, the grocery store, and number of fantastic restaurants and bars, and the commute is amazing. We are thrilled we decided to move here. "

"Lots of dog owners walking the streets. There’s a nice neighborly vibe and have the dogs means people are routinely walking around. This helps security I think against petty crime "

"There are lots of dogs and many people keep their dogs on leashes and clean up their dogs waste. Dogs bring people together "

  • Sam.le
"It’s quiet and neighbors know and look out for one another. We have a lot of car break-ins from outsiders but our neighbors do their best to look out for each other even if they have yet to personally meet them. If something happens to one neighbor’s car, we make it our business to spread the news so everyone is aware. "

"Not a bad place to raise your family but the Middle and High Schools are below average. There are a few really Good Elementary Schools but if you were to raise your kids in this area you might want to check out other school options besides public. Also boundary schools up and down Genesee do not offer a School bus unless you want to pay $500 a year. "

"convenient to most places we go such as Balboa park, theaters, beach & shopping. most neighbors are friendly. Great views unless the mayor & city council decide to let developers make a huge profit by building high rises blocking everyone 's views."
